Deslizamiento se produjo en la parte inferior del lado norte de la ciudad inca. Reportan que no afecta visita de turistas

Personal del Santuario Historico de de Machu Picchu y de la Dirección Desconcentrada de Cultura de Cusco, realizan una evaluación exaustiva de los daños causados por el deslizamiento de tierra y piedras, registrado en la mañana de hoy martes 02 de abril 2019 en el sector de los andenes orientales, ubicado en la parte inferior, lado norte de la ciudadadela inca de Machu Picchu.

de acuerdo a lo indicado por el arqueólogo José Bastante, jefe del Santuario Historico de Machu Picchu, las lluvias torrenciales que se registran en toda la zona, provocaron este deslizamiento de tierra y piedras, que cubrió parcialmente algunos segmentos de andenes hasta evidenciar la superficie del afloramiento rocoso, parte del estribo del puente inca y segmentos de muro de la canalización del río Vilcanota, que también data de la época inca.

“Por este sector del deslizamiento, en los andenes orientales, no transitan los visitantes, no hay presencia de personas y por tanto no hay daños personales que lamentar” refirió el funcionario.

Informo ademas que geólogos, arqueólogos y personal de mantenimiento de la llaqta de Machupicchu realizan la evaluación preliminar de los daños para determinar las acciones correctivas pertinentes.

Las autoridades que Controlan el ingreso de visitantes a la ciudad inca de Machu Picchu citaron que este se realiza sin ningún contratiempo ya que la zona afectada no es parte del circuito turístico.
